LAPT - Terms & Conditions

All satellites and tournaments in the Latin American Poker Tour will be No Limit Hold'em.

The LAPT reserves the right to cancel or alter details of listed events at its discretion.

Entrants must be 18 years of age or over the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction (whichever is greater) to play either in satellites or in any of the Events. All players will be required to produce proof of age (passport or other valid picture ID). Any player unable to produce such proof of age will be disqualified from participation in any of the Events, and no refund of any kind will be made.

By participating in a Satellite or in any of the Events, you grant PokerStars the right to use your name and likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation. You further agree to help promote PokerStars and act as a PokerStars spokesperson during and after the Events, including but not limited to, meeting with press and participating in other events conducted by PokerStars.

If you have qualified for the Event on the Site via a cash Satellite and reach the final table of the Event, you are required by PokerStars to wear PokerStars logo clothing at the final table. You hereby agree to do so.

All players who qualify through non-cash Satellites on the Site (including Frequent Player Point satellite tournaments, Tournament Leader Board) or that have bought in with T-Money, FPPs or via the PokerStars client:

1. into a Main Event - are required to wear PokerStars branded clothing exclusively throughout the Main Event; or
2. into a Side Event - will be required to wear the PokerStars logo or branded clothing exclusively throughout the Side Event if LAPT informs such player that it wishes the player to do so and provides the player with the logo or branded clothing as the case may be.

The LAPT Championship is sanctioned by the Latin American Poker Tour. You acknowledge and agree that the Latin American Poker Tour requires all players in Latin American Poker Tour events to sign a waiver prior to the beginning of each LAPT Event that includes permission to film and broadcast your participation in the LAPT Event.

The first package to any events that you win, whether through cash satellite, FPP satellite or in any other way is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. If you win another satellite to the same event, your PokerStars account will be credited with T$ equal to the value of the package.

If you win a preliminary LAPT satellite that awards a seat into a subsequent satellite (rather than an LAPT event itself), you may unregister from the target satellite and you will receive T$ equal to the buy-in of that satellite. You may use those T$ to enter a direct satellite to any LAPT event. You may directly purchase a seat into an LAPT event with T$. For more details go to /lapt/faq/.

You affirm that the name, email address, postal address, and phone number(s) associated with your PokerStars account are accurate, and agree that the person whose name appears on that account will be the actual person who plays in the Event. Any discrepancy in this may result in disqualification or forfeiture of Event packages.

Prior to playing in any of the Events, you will be required to sign a paper version of these Terms and Conditions. Failure to do so will result in your disqualification from participation in the Event without refund or compensation. In case of any disputes regarding any terms or conditions of any Latin American Poker Tour satellite event, the decision of PokerStars management is final.

A player who leaves a tournament at any stage and for whatever reason is deemed to have forfeited their game and, as such, is not entitled to claim entitlement to money on the basis of their position in that tournament.

You agree that if you qualify or buy in via the PokerStars client, your personal data, including your name and contact information, will be provided to a third party so that you may be contacted for the purposes of making travel and hotel arrangements.
