PCA - Terms & Conditions
The following are the terms and conditions of the "PokerStars Caribbean Adventure" event (the "Event") which consists of tournaments ("Tournaments") organized by the operator ("PokerStars") of the Internet site found at www.pokerstars.eu (the "Site"). Your participation in a Satellite (as defined below) and/or a Tournament shall be deemed to be your complete acceptance of the terms and conditions herein. You may qualify for the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure by
- Winning a cash satellite tournament on the Site
- Winning a Frequent Player Point (FPP) satellite tournament on the Site (each of the above satellite tournaments being referred to as "Satellites")
- Winning the Tournament Leader Board playoff on the Site
- Buying a seat in the Main Event of the Event
- Buying a seat with Frequent Player Points, provided you are a VIP Supernova
- Buying a seat with T$, provided you are a PlatinumStar VIP or higher
- Receiving a seat as a VIP guest or qualifier
- By winning a promotional tournament or freeroll
- Buying a PCA Package for the Main Event (seat only, seat+hotel or seat+hotel+food credit) or a Seat Package for the PCA side tournaments
All online satellites and the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event will be No Limit Hold 'em.
Entrants must be 18 years of age or of legal age of majority in their jurisdiction (whichever the greater) to play in any PokerStars satellites. Players must be 18 to play in any of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Events at the Atlantis Resort. All players will be required to produce proof of age (passport or other valid picture ID). Any player unable to produce such proof of age will be disqualified from participation in any of the Events, and no refund of any kind will be made.
By participating in a satellite of any kind on PokerStars, or in the Event, you grant PokerStars the right to use your name, likeness, voice and image in marketing and promotion campaigns in any media whatsoever without further compensation. You further agree to help promote PokerStars and act as a PokerStars spokesperson during and after the Events, including, but not limited to, meeting with press and participating in other events conducted by PokerStars.
If you have qualified for the Event on the Site via a cash Satellite you will be required to wear the PokerStars logo or branded clothing exclusively throughout the Main Event if PokerStars informs you that it wishes you to do so and provides you with the logo or branded clothing as the case may be.
All players who qualify through non-cash Satellites on the Site (including Frequent Player Point satellite tournaments, Tournament Leader Board) or that have bought in with T-Money, FPPs or via the PokerStars client:
- into a Main Event - are required to wear PokerStars branded clothing exclusively throughout the Main Event; or
- into a Side Event - will be required to wear the PokerStars logo or branded clothing exclusively throughout the Side Event if PokerStars informs such player that it wishes the player to do so and provides the player with the logo or branded clothing as the case may be.
It is hereby clarified that any player who is sponsored on a full-time basis by a third party online gaming site (“Sponsored Player”) and buys in to an Event using real money online at PokerStars will not be required to wear PokerStars branded clothing for either the Main Event or Side Event, subject to the Sponsored Player providing prior written confirmation thereof. However, should the Sponsored Player qualify on the Site for the Main Event or Side Event such Sponsored Player will not be permitted to wear their sponsor’s logo during any of the Events. Further, a Sponsored Player will not be referred to as a PokerStars player in any media list.
You acknowledge and agree that all players in the tournaments are required to sign a waiver form at the beginning of each tournament. The waiver form can be obtained for review prior to the Event by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
During the Event, strict rules regarding player behavior will be enforced. These may include penalties, up to and including disqualification, for foul language, abuse of dealers, players or any other person during the Events, or any other behavior that PokerStars, in its sole judgment, believes to be detrimental to its conduct of the Event.
The first PCA prize package* (including $10,000+$300 PCA entry, $3,450 hotel accommodation plus $1000 credited to your room, and $1000 expenses) you win on PokerStars, whether through cash satellite, FPP satellite or in any other way, is non- transferable and non-exchangeable. If you win, you must play or forfeit the package. If you win additional packages, they may not be sold or transferred; your PokerStars account will be credited with T$ 14,750 and $1,000 cash.
*including Seat Only, Seat Only plus expenses or any other variation of prize package offered by PokerStars
The person whose name appears on any PokerStars account that wins a package will be deemed to be the person who played and won the satellite, and that person must attend and play in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure tournament.
PokerStars will withhold 3% of the total prize pool for dealers and floor staff.
All players also agree to abide by the PCA Rules & Regulations, which can be found on http://www.pokerstarscaribbeanadventure.com/tournaments/rules/.
PokerStars will publish a Day 1A/1B list on the PokerStars Site a few days before the start of the Main Event. All players will be randomly assigned their start date and you hereby agree to play the allocated day. No exceptions will be made.
In case of any disputes regarding any terms or conditions of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Event, the decision of PokerStars management is final, binding and not subject to appeal by any player or third party.
