The ‘PokerStars LIVE Macau’ poker room has two special events left on the year:
1.) ACOP Platinum Series VI (Sep 25 – 28)
2.) 2014 Asia Championship of Poker (Oct 24 – Nov 9)

The Platinum Series is a 4-day, 4-event series that takes place this week and features the HK $5,500 Main Event which comes with a HK $500,000 guarantee.
Those who thought they wrote down the wrong dates for the bigger 2014 Asia Championship of Poker – but often shortened to 2014 ACOP – can now breathe a sigh of relief. It’s still in October so no worries.
But the fact both special events use the same acronym isn’t to mess with your head. All roads lead to the same place and there’s some method to the madness.
You see, besides the cash prizes the Platinum Series Main Event players who make the Top Ten will also qualify for the online ACOP Platinum Series Playoff (October 5, 2014) where they can win one of several HK $100,000 Main Event entries to the 2014 Asia Championship of Poker.
