The ACOP Platinum Series returns to the PokerStars LIVE at the City of Dreams poker room this week from February 20-23 and once again features the HK $5,500 Main Event which comes with a HK $500,000 guarantee.
The last Platinum Series had 187 runners in the Main Event and a prize pool weighing in at HK $843,464. Jian Yang won that event and earned over HK $200,000. Mr. Yang also used that victory to gain valuable Asia Player of the Year (APOY) points which he used to clinch the APOY title at the end of the year.
For those who are unfamiliar with the Platinum Series, there are four Official Asia Player of the Year events on the schedule that play like they normally would. But in the Main Event, players who make the Top Ten will qualify for the ACOP: Platinum Series Playoff on October 5, 2014 where players can win a HK $100,000 Main Event entry to the 2014 Asia Championship of Poker for a chance at life-changing money!
Things kickoff on Thursday with the HK $1,000 Deepstack PLO event at 7pm local time.
