Ayhan AgdasWe are back at APPT 9 Manila for the start of Day 2 of side event#1, the Warm-up event (PHP3M guarantee). After three day flights, a total of 97 players out of 570 entries remained with a prize pool that grew to a massive PHP4,976,100. Players will be vying for the big kahuna cash prize of PHP1,082,200. A total of 72 players will be seeing the money and with many short stacks scattered throughout the room, it is likely many will fall fast unless they get those cards to get back in the running.

Entering the day as the overall chip leader is Ayhan Agdas from the United Kingdom with 156,800 chips. Running second in chips is Julian Hasse from Germany with 139,600. Richard Marquez from the home country is in third position with 128,600 chips.

Players are already at their seats, cards are now flying and chips are shuffling around the room! Good luck to all the qualifiers!

Deep Stack NLH

Side event #2, the Deep Stack NLH event registered 58 entries with play lasting through the wee hours of the night. Some of the players unable to make the cut into day 2 of the Warm-up event were seen dishing it out at this event, players such as Kai Paulsen (Norway), Sam Razavi (England), and Srinivas Polishetty (India), to mention a few. An hour past the witching hour, it was Fu Bang “pipi” Huang who reigned victorious after defeating Juyoung Lee at the heads up round. Huang collected the first place cash prize of PHP340,040.
