The Women’s Sunday on May 25 had a great crowd:

Total players: 209
Guarantee: $10,000.00
Prize pool: $10,450.00
Paid finishers: 36

Team Online’s Adrienne “talonchick” Rowsome was in action today, with a $50 bounty on her virtual head, of course. She took a hit early on in the tournament, however, when this happened:

She ended up leaving the tournament in 128th place.

Play moved on, the last 36 players found themselves in the money portion of the event, and only two tables then remained after the four-hour mark.

After LindaLu123 exited in 11th place, the next elimination was quite uneventful. Sleepyspb had been sitting out and blinded down, so her last 290 chips went all-in with her big blind. Original raiser unixangel took it when everyone else folded, and sleepyspb left in tenth place with $167.20.

Ukinismuilas starts ahead

The final table started with these players and their chip counts:

Seat 1: PrincessTums (69,989 in chips)
Seat 2: GreenFish95 (188,959 in chips)
Seat 3: Bags&Shoes (156,453 in chips)
Seat 4: ukinismuilas (247,425 in chips)
Seat 5: _valitsaki_ (82,167 in chips)
Seat 6: unixangel (164,347 in chips)
Seat 7: maguZiznatic (46,836 in chips)
Seat 8: krissyb24 (64,306 in chips)
Seat 9: hotjenny314 (24,518 in chips)

It took only three hands for maguZiznatic and her pocket kings to double through unixangel.

Krissyb24 was the next player to move, and she did it with 2♥ 2♦ from the small blind. Original raiser Bags&Shoes called with K♥ Q♣ , however, and caught the king on the 8♣ 3♥ 8â™  K♦ 10♥ board. Kristen “krissyb24” Bicknell, finished the tournament in ninth place with $198.55.

Bags&Shoes gets chips

One massive hand put Bags&Shoes into a huge chip lead, at the expense of the former chip leader:

On the very next hand, hotjenny314 pushed her short stack of 18K chips all-in from UTG+1, and Bags&Shoes raised, which prompted everyone else to fold. Hotjenny314 was at risk with A♦ J♦ , and Bags&Shoes one-upped her with A♥ Q♣ . The board delivered 5â™  10â™  Kâ™  3♥ 7♣ , and Katie “hotjenny314” Dozier was eliminated in eighth place for $261.25.

Two hands after that, PrincessTums took a risk with 6♦ 6♣ but ran into the A♦ A♠ of ukinismuilas. The flop of J♠ 5♦ A♣ only improved that to a set of aces, and the 7♣ turn and 4♦ officially sent PrincessTums out in seventh place with $365.75.

_Valitsaki_ doubled through unixangel but then got involved with Bags&Shoes two hands later. Bags&Shoes raised from the button, and _valitsaki_ reraised all-in from the big blind with A♥ 10♠ . But Bags&Shoes had A♠ J♥ , and that kicker made all the difference on the K♣ 3♥ 2♥ 6♦ 7♦ board. That left _valitsaki_ out in sixth place with $470.25.

GreenFish95 doubled through unixangel, but the latter stayed alive through a three-way pot. But unixangel moved again quickly with less than 4,500 chips holding K♦ 8♥ . Ukinismuilas and Bags&Shoes went along to the 3♦ 9♣ 10♣ flop, at which point a raise from ukinismuilas prompted a fold from Bags&Shoes. Ukinismuilas showed Kâ™  10♦ , which was the best hand as the 6♥ and J♣ finished the board. Swedish PokerStars blogger Lina “unixangel” Olofsson had to leave in fifth place with $606.10.

Ukinismuilas rises again

Ukinismuilas took a pot worth nearly 235K chips from GreenFish95, and when the latter decided to push all-in a bit later with K♣ Q♦ , ukinismuilas was right there holding Q♠ Q♥ . The board of 7♠ A♦ K♦ Q♣ 6♣ made a set of queens for ukinismuilas and eliminated GreenFish95 in fourth place, which was worth $888.25.

MaguZiznatic was down to nearly 50K and pushed all-in. Bags&Shoes each called to see the J♠ 10♦ 3♦ flop. They checked, though the 10♣ on the turn prompted a bet from ukinismuilas and check-call from Bags&Shoes. They both checked the K♦ turn, though, and ukinismuilas showed A♠ 10♥ against the 4♦ 4♣ of Bags&Shoes to take the whole pot. MaguZiznatic mucked and left quietly in third place with $1,180.85.

Two big stacks battle

The final two players started their heads-up match as follows:

Seat 3: Bags&Shoes (462,438 in chips)
Seat 4: ukinismuilas (582,562 in chips)

And it was Bags&Shoes who surged into the lead and extended it. Ukinismuilas had a tough time gaining much ground after that, and the two then got into a big hand. It started with a reraised flop of 2♣ K♦ 8♣ . A bet and call led to the Q♣ on the turn, at which point ukinismuilas bet all-in. Bags&Shoes called with 2♥ 2♦ for the set of deuces, and ukinismuilas showed A♦ Q♠ for the pair. The 10♦ on the river end it with ukinismuilas in second place with $1,567.50.

Bags&Shoes, who won a Women’s Sunday tournament last summer, captured another title today, along with $2,137.13 in cash. Congrats!
