Home / Events / COOPs begin today in Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, $4.5M in guarantees

It’s almost here… time for poker players on PokerStars’ US sites to start COOPin’ it up!

Starting today, PokerStars Pennsylvania, PokerStars Michigan, and PokerStars New Jersey will each begin separate COOP festivals lasting from Sept. 10-27.

Click here for the full COOP schedules for PokerStars PA, PokerStars MI, and PokerStars NJ.

The first tournaments in each series begin today, Friday, Sept. 10 at 6 p.m. ET. Each kicks off with a $10 “Warm-Up” event at 6 p.m., then a $100 “Big Warm-Up” event at 7 p.m.

NOTE: PokerStars PA, PokerStars MI, and PokerStars NJ are each ring-fenced sites, meaning players only play against opponents in the same state.

Over the course of the 18 days, here is what each site’s COOP is featuring:

  • PACOOP: 69 events, $2 million in guaranteed prize pools
  • MICOOP: 68 events, $1.5 million in guaranteed prize pools
  • NJCOOP: 60 events, $1 million in guaranteed prize pools

Each COOP series schedule looks a lot like the regular WCOOP with a wide variety of buy-ins and game formats. Each will also be winding up with big two-day $300 buy-in Main Events starting on Sunday, Sept. 26.

Winners of the Main Events and other designated tournaments will be winning COOP trophies as well. Each series will award seven trophies, meaning 21 trophies will be claimed over the course of the three series.

There are lots of COOP satellites up and running on the sites already as well. Meanwhile, each site is also hosting various COOP-related promotions and freerolls, too.

There are $3 Spin & Go‘s in which players can win $300 Main Event tickets. There are also Depositor Freerolls on all three sites on Sept. 26. Deposit at least $30 using the appropriate bonus code — “PACOOP,” “MICOOP,” or “NJCOOP” — and get an entry into the Depositor Freeroll in which the top 50 finishers will get Main Event seats. There are Second Chance Freerolls throughout the COOPs, too, in which players busting shy of the cash in a COOP event will get chances to win COOP tickets.
