It took until the early hours of the morning for two of the three final tables. The Pot-Limit Hold’em Championships €1k event saw several hours of both three-handed and heads-up play before eventually Claude Mirval, who has already cashed in the FPS Deauville Main Event and placed third in a Deepstack Turbo a few nights ago, finally claimed victory. The Frenchman took home €8,520 and beat Anatoly Korochenskiy (2nd – €5,880) heads-up for the title. Jean Montury, who had previously made the final of the €2k yesterday, was 4th for €2,710.

In the €300 Deepstack PLO event, Mikkael Sebbagh beat Tomasz Cybulski heads-up when all the money went in preflop after more potting than in a ceramics factory.

The board came J9856 and Sebbagh made a king-high flush to scoop the €5,750 first prize. This was to the disappointment of the Polish rail that included Team PokerStars Pro Marcin Horecki, who had bubbled the money (and the final table).

Afterwards, Marcin Wydrowski shouted to Sebbagh, “Can I buy the trophy for my friend? He deserves it…”

Clifford Jacobs finished third for €2,690, the British player has been playing a lot of PLO here in Deauville, this was his second final table having also made the final of the €1k PLO event earlier this week. He’s made several trip reports on a thread on 2+2 about all the highs and lows.

The third event, the €1k 6-Max, had to stop at 5am with the tournament room closing. Three players still remained led by Omar Dahmani (683,000) who had come in 34th place in the EPT Main Event for €12,790 earlier in the day. The other two players remaining are Tarek Bouchama (448,000) and Florian Ravier (258,000). The three have agreed to restart at 12.30pm and will play to a finish with over €32,000 for the winner.
