Blinds: 100-200
3.20pm: Luske halved
They’ll be no limping on Team PokerStars Pro Marcel Luske’s button. There were two who dared to limp before he bumped it up to 1,200. They both called though to see the 10♦ 2♥ 4♦ flop where all three checked. The turn came 10♥ before one of the limpers bet 2,650. Only Luske called to make it heads-up as the river came K♣ . Luske called a 6,025 bet this time but mucked upon seeing his opponent’s 2♦ 2♣ for a full house. That put’s him down to 15,000.
3:01pm: Deeb destruction
Shaun Deeb has not been having a good day. First, he lost his tourney receipt that granted him entry into the tournament today (thanks to a very helpful Mad Harper, he was in action by the time the cards were shuffled in dealt). Since then, things just have not gone his way.
The most recent indignity came just a moment ago. Deeb bet at a board of 4â™ 6â™ 9♥ 10♦ Q♣ . When a raise came in, he ripped off his sunglasses, and peeked at his cards. We happened to get a look at his holding, but nobody else did so we’re not going to say what he had, except to reveal…he was ahead on the turn.
After thinking for a while, he called the bet, only to hear his opponent say, “Nuts” and turn over a king and jack.
Deeb’s frustration was evident as he shoved his cards in the muck. With no traction gained so far, Deeb sits on 8,500 of his starting 30,000 stack.
2.55pm: Eastgate heading north
Peter Eastgate’s stack is up to 70,000 right now. Part of this was due to a pot he won where he bet 7,700 on the river of a Q♣ 10â™ Qâ™ J♣ 2♣ board and was called by the small blind after a long tank. Eastgate revealed J♦ Jâ™ for a full-house which was good for the pot as his opponent slammed his cards into the muck.
2:48pm: King(s) Dutch
Joep van den Bijgaart, the Dutch Team PokerStars Pro just proved the misogynistic nature of playing cards. A raising battle that resulted with all of his chips (a bit more than 20,000) going in the middle ultimately saw him turn up K♠K♦ . Up against pocket queens, Van den Bijgaart had no problem with the [A]J♣ 6♦ 3♠7♣ board. He now sits at around 42,000 chips.
2:40pm:Moor to Chris man
“I’m up to about 70% now” mused Chris Moorman to me. It was in response to me saying that he looked a bit peaky when play first started today. That’s what the welcome party with free bar can do to you!
He’s up to 35,000 after a calling a pre-flop raise and then calling a bet on every street except the river where he raised. The board finished 4♣ Q♦ K♦ 5♥ Q♥ and the raise was enough to scoop the pot as his opponent reluctantly folded.
2:33pm–Eye-bored
It’s a little-known fact that German Team PokerStars Pro Sandra Naujoks can actually bore holes in the human body with nothing more than her eyes.

2:30pm–Break (fast)
After a quick 15-minute break (used by many to run to that chicken curry in the hallway cafe chafing dishes), we’re back in action with 100-200 blinds.
That goes a long way when you started with 30,000.
