If you needed any proof of the European Poker Tour’s influence on British poker, you only needed to look at last night’s British Poker Awards.

Last night, the BPAs named EPT London as the Best UK Tournament and its captain, Toby Stone, as the Best Tournament Director. Stone led EPT London last year at the Grand Connaught Rooms for an 11-day, 38-event festival. More than 600 players from 54 countries competed in the EPT Main Event. Overall, the festival paid out more than £10.3 million in prize money.

Team PokerStars Pro also had a big night. Vicky Coren won Best Social Media User, and Daniel Negreanu won Best International Player.

One of Team Online’s recent standouts, Alex “Kanu7” Millar, picked up a couple of awards of his own last night. The British Poker Awards handed him the laurels for both Player of the Year and Best Online Cash Player. That’s no real surprise after the year he had in 2013.

Meanwhile, a line of EPT notables raked in the awards last night at the Hippodrome Casino in Leicester Square. Chris Moorman won Best Online Tournament Player. Sam Trickett picked up Best Life Tournament Player & Best Live Cash player.

Finally, much-loved British Pro Barny Boatman–an EPT regular for the past ten seasons–won Performance of the Year and the Lifetime Achievement Award. The latter of those was his second in two months. The European Poker Awards honored him with the same achievement a few weeks ago in Deauville, France.

Congratulations to all the winners.
