Day two. The sun is shining, there isn’t a cloud in the sky and the temperature is a balmy 21 degrees. What better condition is there for a day spent in a card room playing poker?

That’s the forecast for 528 players today, survivors of the combined day one. Today the plot changes slightly. Levels will now be 75 minutes, providing an extended opportunity for play as things take a turn for the serious. Incidentally, this will be the same structure used next year when the EPT enters its sixth year.

Leading the field will be Lee Nelson. The Team PokerStars Pro ended day 1a on a massive 253,600, nearly 50K ahead of day 1b leader Amicha Barer. A host of other Team Pros are in contention as well as names and faces which EPT regulars have grown accustomed to.
