4.55pm: Break time
It’s the end of the level and break time at the final table.

4.50pm: Nordic battle
Jakob Carlsson raised his button – surprise, surprise. Petterssen called the 450,000 from the big blind and they both checked the 8♦ 5♦ K♣ flop. In fact, checking was the order of the day; they both ignored the A♣ turn but when Petterssen bet 525,000 on the 5♥ river, Carlsson mucked. — HS

4.45pm: Boeree back
Lib Boeree has doubled through chip leader Jakon Karlsson. She opened from the button to face a three-bet from Karlsson. Her response was to move all-in and Karlsson snap-called. Showdown:

Karlsson: A♥ 3♠
Boeree: A♣ K♠

The board ran 10♦ 5â™  J♥ 4♣ K♣ to double the Brit up to 10.45 million. Karlsson down to 17 million The twists and turns of this three-handed battle continue. — MC

4.35pm: Another nibble out of Boeree
Jakob Carlsson is raising any two – and he just hit a ten to beat Liv Boeree out of a small pot. Carlsson raised to 450,000 from the button and Boeree called from the small blind. The flop came 2♣ 10♣ K♣ and they both checked. The turn was 9♥ and Boeree bet 550,000. Carlsson called. The river was 2♦ , which they both checked, and Carlsson’s 10-4 were good. — HS

4.25pm: Carlsson back over 20 million
Jacob Carlsson wins another pot from Liv Boeree, sending him over the 20 million mark once more – and her down to 6 million. Boeree had raised to 560,000 and Carlsson called. Carlsson then check-called Boeree’s 650,000 continuation bet on the A♣ 9â™  7â™  flop. Both checked the 2♣ turn, but on the Q♣ river it was Carlsson who came out firing with a 1,375,000 bet. Boeree gave it serious consideration, but mucked. — SY

4.20pm: Carlsson keeps up the pressure
Jakob Carlsson opened for 575,000 and got a call from Liv Boeree. On the 4♥ 2♥ 8â™  flop Carlsson reached for 775,000 chips and Boeree got out of the way. — SY

4.15pm: To the flop
Pettersson made it 625,000 from the small blind and Carlsson called in the big blind. On the flop of 6â™  9♥ 6♥ Pettersson made it 500,000 which Carlsson raised to 1,475,000. That ended the hand there. – SB.

4.10pm: Boat for Petterssen sends Boeree down the river
With only three players, any two look good pre-flop. And when you flop a full house with two babies, it looks even better. It just happened to Toni Petterssen – and he doubled up through Liv Boeree.

Boeree limped from the small blind and Petterssen checked his option. The flop came 4♥ 6♥ 4â™  and Boeree fired 275,000. Petterssen raised to 825,000 and Boeree moved all in, covering Petterssen’s 5,505,000 stack.

That didn’t matter to the Finn. He insta-called, with good reason. He was sitting there with 4♣ 6♣ and was way ahead of Boeree’s 7♣ 7♥ . Neither turn nor river could give Boeree a re-suck, and Petterssen now moves back beyond 10,000,000, leaving Boeree as the short stack of three. — HS

4.05pm: Boeree the battler
Liv Boeree opened for 450,000 which was called by Jakob Carlsson for a flop of K♦ 2♥ 8♥ . Boeree then bet 550,000 which Carlsson raised to 1,475,000 total. Boeree wasn’t done and raised to 3,600,000. Carlsson asked for the chips to be pulled in which, for a second sounded like all-in. But no, Carlsson folded. – SB.

4pm: Double up for Boeree
Liv Boeree was the short stack as they got three handed but she just secured a key double up, shooting her up to nearly 12 million and sending Toni Pettersen down to around 7 million.

She had raised to 575,000 from the small blind, and Petterssen re-raised to 4 million from the big blind. Boeree quickly moved all in for around 2 million more – call!

Boeree: 8♠ 8♣
Petterssen: K♥ Q♦

It was the biggest flip of the Brit’s life, but she won it when the 3♦ 5♣ Jâ™  9â™  8♥ board made her a set on the river.

Jakob Carlsson is still runaway leader, but the dynamics are such that if Boeree were to bust Petterssen now she would not be far behind Carlsson’s stack. — SY

3.55pm: Carlsson calling
Just as we’d said goodbye to Michael Piper another all-in followed. This time Toni Pettersson shoved and was called by Jakob Carlsson, of course, who showed 8♦ 8♣ . But Pettersson had A♥ Aâ™  and despite a nervy board of J♣ Q♦ K♣ Q♣ 6♦ he swept back to around 11 million chips. – SB.

3.45pm: Michael Piper out in fourth, winning €345,000
The Brit with the curious facial hair is out, and it was that man Jakob Carlsson who extended his chip domination as a result. It started with a Carlsson raise to 450,000, then Toni Petterssen called. Michael Piper shoved for 4,695,000 and Carlsson called quickly, leaving Petterssen to scarper.

Carlsson: A♣ K♥
Piper: Q♥ 10♥

The flop was swift in its execution of Piper, coming 2â™  2♣ Kâ™  . Piper needed an awful lot of help, but the 4♥ turn and 2♥ did not bring it. Carlsson is up to around 26 million now! — SY

3.40pm: Boeree again, and again
It was folded around to Jakob Carlsson in the small blind, and he called. Liv Boeree was not going to let him get away with a cheap flop, raising it up to 900,000. That was too rich for the Swede, who folded. On the next hand, Carlsson raised his button to 450,000, but Boeree three-bet to 1.1 million from the small blind and that too was too rich. — SY

3.38pm: Carlsson keeps up the pressure
Jakob Carlsson extended his lead further after taking down a 3.4 million pot. He called a button raise from Toni Pettersson while in the big blind to see a 9♣ 2♣ 2♦ flop. He then check-called a 425,000 bet here and a 450,000 bet on the K♠ turn. Both checked the 3♠ river and Carlsson scooped with his 4♦ 4♠ . The Finn could only show Q♠ 10♣ .

3.35pm: Boeree comes out firing
First hand back Jakob Carlsson opened for 450,000 and Liv Boeree moved all in for 4.4million. It was folded back to Carlsson who wasted no time in folding. — SY

3.30pm: Four left
After a slow-ish start to this final table, it exploded in the last level and three players bust. That leaves a snug final four, with the following stacks:

Jakob Carlsson – 19,750,000
Toni Pettersson – 8,000,000
Michael Piper – 5,095,000
Liv Boeree – 4,435,000

There are now 14 zeros required just to write the blind level (see the post headline), so we don’t expect any let up in the action.

This man might look like he should be delivering your newspaper on his bike of a morning, but he’s more ruthless – and richer – than you and your rottweiler.
