Antony Lellouche will not be repeating San Remo performance from last year, falling short by roughly four days. The Frenchman, who finished second to Jason Mercier in one of the quickest EPT finals ever 12 months ago, has busted out in unknown circumstances in level three.

It’s a different story for his countryman Arnaud Mattern.

From seat five the former EPT winner bet 400 pre-flop from middle position getting callers in seat six, seven in the cut off, and from the big blind in seat ten, a young player in a red, white and black checked shirt. Five for the flop of Q♦ 10♥ 2♥ .

Mattern continued where he’d left off, first to bet after the checked shirt checked, making it 2,000 to play. Initial enthusiasm from his opponents suddenly wanes and they fold one by one. Mattern up to nearly 17,000.
