Frenchman Alain Roy earlier beat Team PokerStars Pro Jonathan Duhamel and Marton Czuczor to the trophy in a large €2,000 No-Limit Hold’em side event. The tournament played an immense session yesterday but couldn’t quite close the action out leaving those three players to come back today. Roy picked up €118,200 which he can add to his $2,510,590 in live tournament winnings, which pushes him up to eighth or ninth on the all-time money list for France.
Duhamel scored a podium finish in third place for €62,600 which he can add to the $11,807,347 that he’s already clocked up in his career so far.
