Home / Uncategorized / EPT12 Prague: €595,400 to High Roller winner; on the bubble as they head to dinner

Day 2 of the €10,000 High Roller is much the same as the first, in that the players will play 10 levels, each of which lasts 60 minutes. Where it differs though is that today the players will reach the money, possibly the final table even and there are no second chances. Registration is closed. With six levels done and dusted they’ve just headed off on a 60 minute dinner break and things are very finely balanced indeed.

Mid-day update

A dozen new/re-entries this morning took the total number of runners to 315 (252 unique entries and 63 re-entries). The powers that be crunched the numbers and declared that 47 players would get paid, with the winner taking home €595,400 (scroll down for the entire payout structure). That all means it’s going to be an uncomfortable dinner break for some because as of now, just 50 players remain meaning only three more players will leave empty handed. Those in danger of falling foul of the €17,420 bubble include: Tomasz Wrobel (39,000), Pavel Binar (42,000), Alexandru Papazian (65,000), Andrei Chernokoz (82,000) and Mikhail Rudoy (86,000). When play restarts after dinner blinds will be 4,000/8,000 ante 1,000. At the other end of the scale you’ll find Daniel Cates (729,000). The man known as ‘Jungleman’ has a large lead over Chady Merhej. The Lebanese player has a stack of 575,000, which gives him a slender lead from a chasing pack consisting of: Rocco Palumbo (522,000), Kevin MacPhee (515,000), Felix Bleiker (510,000) and Vanessa Selbst (485,500).
