Home / Uncategorized / Eureka5 Hamburg: Lemme leads final six

Well that was a quick day! After four one-hour levels and five minutes of a fifth, 22 players were made to look like the final six. The action never slowed from the off and rarely did an all in player survive. Days like this rarely happen but they’re fun to witness when they do. The variance of the situation is that the remaining six players will enter tomorrow with an average stack just over 60 big blinds, so it could still be a long day.

The final eight
The undoubted star of the day was Tom Holke who started the day as chips leader, had a hand in more bust outs than any other player and survived a late wobble to enter the final day second in chips. He’s one spot behind Lemme who won most of his chips in a huge pot with Day 1A chip leader, and second-placed player coming into today, Kadir Uzunoglu. The Turkish player turned a set of fours but it was also the card that gave Lemme the nut flush. The chips went in and the rest is history.

Tom Holke enjoyed his day
Moritz Kranich, Malte Monning and Patrick Renkers were the three best-known pros heading into Day 3 but all were short and all failed to make the final day. Monning got his chips in good, threes to Holke’s eights, but the latter sucked out. Renkers also got his chips in good against Holke but he was sent to the rail as well. Kranich got his chips in dominated and failed to suck out. To see where everyone finished today, click here.
