What steps are taken when creating a brand-new tournament series?

Here’s a quick guide.

First, give your new tournament series a name. For ours we chose the Galactic Series.

You’ll need a logo too.

Then, pick a launch date. Like this Sunday for example. With the entire series running until the last event on Monday September 10.

Make it big

Then, for the first time since shared liquidity became a thing, bring together the players of Southern Europe – that’s Spain, Portugal and France.

While you’re at it, make it a reason to celebrate. After all, this is the first time players from these countries have been able to compete against each other on such a large stage.

So, we recommend some large guarantees. Like these ones.

€1.5 million for the €250 Main Event on Sunday 9 September*
€15 million for the entire tournament series

*This means at least one record will be broken.

Make it or everyone

Then divide that €15 million over enough tournaments to ensure players get exactly what they want, when they want it.

We settled on 186 tournaments. You can find a list of them here.

And make sure you can qualify in satellites. We’ve added details of that here.

Make it Herculean

But the Galactic Series needed another highlight. So, we added one.

It’s what we call the Hercules Flighted Event.

It starts on Sunday 26 August and runs through to Wednesday 5 September.

What makes it unique is that you can enjoy twelve chances to make Day 2. If you make it through, you’ll play for €300,000 guaranteed.

Twelve chances. Just like Hercules’s 12 Labours. But hopefully a little easier.

Make it special

Finally, to add a final touch to your new series, add some special offers.

We added four of them.

Combined, they total more than €200,000 in added prizes, including a chance to win your way into that record breaking Main Event we mentioned earlier.

Once you’ve done all of this, you’re done.

The result will become clear when Event 1 starts this Sunday.
