Home / Events / ‘Hank’s Home Game’ is back! New line-up of celebs compete in Episode 2 today

A month ago, we greatly enjoyed the debut of Hank’s Home Game. There were lots of big hands, lots of big laughs, and lots of big fun all around.

Hank Azaria has invited some more of his poker buddies to gather for a second go-round, with a new line-up of celebrities competing for their favorite charities.

They’re playing from home on PokerStars.net, and we can watch them from home, too.

Tune into the PokerStars YouTube channel starting today, March 22, at 6 p.m. GMT (1 p.m. ET) to get in on the fun.

Bets, bluffs, and banter from another star-studded line-up

Like before, play will be six-handed with players playing a deep-stacked cash game for approximately two hours. Hank is back, of course, as is Jon Hamm who took part the first time. But they’ll be up against four different opponents sitting around the table this time.

Here’s the line-up for today’s game, along with the charities for which each is playing:

As noted, it’s a cash game which means no one will bust out although some (or many) might go busto and have to rebuy.

The starting stack will be 10,000 chips with the blinds fixed at 50/100. There will be unlimited rebuys, but in the end whoever has the biggest net profit in chips will be the winner.

Good times, and good causes

PokerStars.net has partnered with the Edward Charles Foundation to distribute funds raised through Hank’s Home
Game to the celebrities’ charities of choice. Edward Charles Foundation is a fiscal sponsor, helping clients turn their philanthropic passions into an impactful mission.

Today’s game features a $50,000 prize pool, and as mentioned all winnings will go to players’ chosen charities. Here’s how the prizes will be distributed:

  • 1st: $20,000
  • 2nd: $12,000
  • 3rd: $8,000
  • 4th: $5,000
  • 5th: $3,000
  • 6th: $2,000

Like before, all six players will be on camera throughout. That’ll add an extra wrinkle to the game, especially when the barbs start flying along with the bets.

“I’m excited to be back for another game and more entertainment for everyone to enjoy while we raise more funds for charity,” says Azaria. “Connecting with these guys for good has been a blast. You just never know what’s going to happen, and I don’t even mean just with the poker.”

Hank's Home Game on PokerStars.net

In the first Hank’s Home Game, Azaria and Hamm competed against Michael Ian Black, Michael Cera, Josh Charles, and Don Cheadle. You can still watch it right here.

The whole idea emerged from last spring’s Stars CALL For Action — Powered by PokerStars that involved over 90 celebrities and raised over $1 million for charity.

Who will walk away the winner from the second Hank’s Home Game? Tune into PokerStars’ YouTube channel starting today, Monday, March 22 at 6 p.m. GMT (1 p.m. ET) to find out!
