The High Roller Club brings together the most impressive online poker talent in the world. These players often hit the high stakes tables on a weekly basis, and this makes meetings and clashes between reputable pros inevitable.

Meeting of top talent in Sunday HR

Christopher “ImDaNuts” Oliver had one such meeting when he was confronted by “VladTheSlaye” in this weekend’s $1,050 Sunday HR. After seeing off a final table of capable opponents, the pair found themselves heads-up for one of the High Roller Club’s biggest weekly prices.

Both are formidable at the tables. Costa Rican pro Oliver has nearly $14.9 million in online cashes, ranking him 10th overall on PocketFives’ money list. This includes high stakes titles in the WCOOP 2018, SCOOP 2019, and a WCOOP Super Tuesday win this year. Oliver is a consistent player, with countless wins in the HRC.

Christopher “ImDaNuts” Oliver now has over $14.9 million in online cashes

Across the table, Ukrainian player VladTheSlaye has shown a similar run of form. We’re not too sure of their total winnings, but victories in 2020 alone include HRC wins, SCOOP final tables, and a second place Stadium Series Weekly Final worth $191k.

All the more reason for the two players to opt for a split to smooth out the huge prize jump in the Sunday HR. If there’s ever a time for a deal, it’s when you know your opponent is evenly matched.

VladTheSlaye had more chips at the time of the deal, and so took slightly more overall, earning $42,826 for second. Christopher Oliver locked up the first place and $41,767.

Vlad also had success the night before, locking up second place in the Saturday KO for a total of $6,186. “Grozzorg” from Austria went on to win the Saturday KO for a total of $10,439.

Old timer’s still got it

Old timer Andreas “mrAndreeew” Berggren was also among the big winners in the High Roller Club this weekend. The Swedish pro’s results span back to 2012, and he’s since racked up $13.8 million in online cashes. Berggren is a two-time TCOOP champ, a SCOOP champ, and has twice won the Super Tuesday. He was once ranked the number one online player in the world.

Berggren enjoyed a relatively modest win, by his standards at least, in the $215 Fat Sunday, a new(ish) tourney that brings high speed turbo action to the HRC. He earned $13,433 for a racy display of poker talent that earned him first place.

No cooling down for Pieter Aerts

Pieter “XMorphineX” Aerts from Belgium has had huge success in the biggest online tourneys in the world. In 2017, he final tabled the WCOOP special edition Sunday Million. In 2019, he came first in the same tourney – the two results combined earned him over $400k. Aerts also final tabled the high stakes WCOOP 2019 Main Event and the SCOOP 2020 Main Event, with both scores combined totalling over $720k.

This is someone who knows how to make it through huge fields and prevail as a top player. The Sunday Cooldown must have almost seemed like small fry!

Aerts found himself heads-up against Hungary’s “kZhh” (winner of last week’s $215 Fat Sunday). There was no deal to be made here though, with Aerts eventually knocking out kZhh and claiming the final bounty. He earned $10,395 for first, plus an incredible $17,093 in bounties for a total of $27,488.

Enigmatic pro gets real in Supersonic

The enigmatic “Bomber&Granater” has always eluded us. Despite a series of five, and sometimes six figure wins, we still don’t know their real identity. What we do know is that Bomber&Granater is an extremely capable player with lots of decent results to speak of.

This year, Bomber&Granater won what we think was their first SCOOP title, claiming first place in the 36-H for $110k. Then they picked up a second of the series, $112k for first in the 102-M. It’s an epic achievement, a platinum trophy of poker.

The Austrian pro won the $1,050 Sunday Supersonic this weekend, earning $20,838 in just two hours, 11 mins of frantic hyper turbo action.
