With the bubble not too far away, it’s becoming easier to identify the chip leaders at this point. With aroud 225 players remaining it’s JC Alvarado who looks to be on top. Alvarado has over $2.2 million in cashes including a 2nd place in the €50k Super High Roller at EPT9 Barcelona for €788,674. He’s sitting with roughly half a million in chips, nearly three-times the average.

Yep, still busy in here

Alvarado leads ahead of Hugo Lemaire. The Frenchman has made over $1.5 million cashing in tournaments including a final table appearance at LAPT7 Panama last year where he came 8th for $17,700. Lemaire has 430,000 and is one of three players other than Alvarado over the 400,000 mark; the other two being Guillaume Valle (406,000) and Evangelos Tsairis (400,000).

Not too far behind is Balazs Botond (350,000), winner of Eureka4 Prague late last year. The Hungarian player is sharing a table with Team PokerStars Pro Jan Heitmann while hoping to add another PokerStars regional tour title to his name.
