Vladimir Dobrovolskii wins the HK$100,000 High Roller! (HK$897,500)
It’s all over here after Vladimir Dobrolskii has taken out the title and the HK$1,229,000 top prize.

2:35am: Jinghui Ying eliminated in 2nd place (HK$750,000)
Level 20: Blinds 30,000/60,000 (5,000 ante)
After taking a big hit in a recent hand Jinghui Ying has now finished runner up getting his last 490,000 chips in preflop. Vladimir Dobrolskii called it off with the superior hand to try and close it out.
Ying: Kâ™ 9â™
Dobrolskii: A♥ 4♣
The 8â™ 4♥ A♣ flop was terrible for Ying with Dobrolskii flopping top and bottom pair. Ying needed running cards to survive but they wouldn’t come as the 6♥ turn and 9♦ river signalled the end of the tournament.
Ying collects HK$737,000 for his impressive second place finish today.
2:30am: Queens good for Dobrolskii
Level 20: Blinds 30,000/60,000 (5,000 ante)
Vladimir Dobrolskii just won a sizable pot to take the runaway chip lead against Jinghui Ying.
The board read 9♠J♣ 2♠A♣ and with the pot already substantially bloated, Dobrolskii fired for 350,000. The bet was met with a call and the 7♦ rolled off to complete the board.
Both players checked and Dobrolskii tabled Q♠Q♦ for the winner.
“Yes!” Dobrolskii shouted as Ying mucks.
Dobrolskii now has a 3:1 chip lead as play continues.
2:20am: Heads up chip counts
Level 20: Blinds 30,000/60,000 (5,000 ante)
The chips are almost dead even going into heads up play.
Vladimir Dobrolskii has 1.6 million to Jinghui Ying’s 1.7 million.

2:15am: Chang He eliminated in 3rd place (HK$810,000)
Level 20: Blinds 30,000/60,000 (5,000 ante)
Chang He was the next to fall after a preflop squeeze gone wrong.
After Vladimir Dobrolskii brought it in for a raise on the button, Jinghui Ying called from the small blind and He moved all in for his short stack.
Dobrolskii snapped him off and Ying folded to sweat the potential elimination.
Ying had just king ten to Dobrolskii’s pocket kings and failed to find any help when the community cards ran out. He leaves us in 3rd place and with that we’re down to heads up.
2am: Ying takes the chip lead
Level 19: Blinds 20,000/40,000 (5,000 ante)
Jinghui Ying has taken the chip lead now after winning a huge pot from Vladimir Dobrolskii.
With the board reading 6♣ J♥ 10♥ 8♣ Dobrolskii led at it for 225,000. Ying gave it some thought, so much so in fact that Chang He ended up calling time. Ying called a few seconds later and the Q♣ arrived on the river.
Dobrolskii then moved all in with enough to cover Ying who called it off instantly with the second nuts.

It was a straight versus a straight but Ying had the bigger one. That was good to take a commanding chip lead with 1.9 million.
1:40am: Three-handed deal made
Level 19: Blinds 20,000/40,000 (5,000 ante)
After talks between our three remaining players a deal has been now been made.
They agreed on an ICM deal leaving HK$7,500 and the trophy to play for.

1:20am: Linh Tran eliminated in 4th place (HK$368,800)
Level 18: Blinds 15,000/30,000 (5,000 ante)
APPT Manila champion Linh Tran won’t be winning another trophy tonight. He just bowed out in 4th place.
Tran got the last of it in preflop with A♣ 8♣ and while he was ahead Tran couldn’t hold against Vladimir Dobrolskii’s K♥ 10â™ when the community cards fell 8â™ 10♥ 9â™ 7♥ 4♣ .
And with that we are now down to three players!
1:10am: Ying Yee Cheng eliminated in 5th place (HK$246,000)
Level 18: Blinds 15,000/30,000 (5,000 ante)
Chang He moved all in under the gun for 680,000 and Ying Yee Ling called all in for less. The rest of the table folded and the pair of them tabled their cards.

Cheng: Aâ™ Qâ™
There was a queen in the window on the 7♥ K♥ Q♣ flop to see Cheng take the lead and look good to survive. The turn was a sweaty A♦ giving He additional Broadway outs but it was the J♦ that improved him to a set to see Cheng eliminated.
She finishes in 5th place and collects HK$246,000 for her efforts.
1am: Tran doubles through Cheng
Level 18: Blinds 15,000/30,000 (5,000 ante)
Things are moving again now with Linh Tran just doubling up through Ying Yee Cheng.
Cheng opened to 65,000 from the cutoff before Tran moved all in for 305,000 from the button. With the flick of a chip to signify a call from Cheng the two were of to the races.

Cheng: K♣ Qâ™
There was a straight on board by the end of the 7â™ 6♣ 3♥ 4♦ 5♥ runout but Tran’s was higher with pocket eights. He stays alive and rakes in the pot while Cheng falls to 225,000.
12:45am: Things slowing down
Level 17: Blinds 12,000/24,000 (4,000 ante)
The action has grinded to almost a complete stop since we hit five-handed play.
The chips are simply being shipped back and forth with nothing of note to report.
With only 30 minute levels it won’t be long before they start to catch up with the players’ stack sizes. We’re expecting fireworks soon!

12:10am: Dobrolskii seizes chip lead

Vladimir Dobrolskii is now our final table chip leader after taking the biggest pot of the tournament so far from Ying Yee Cheng.
The board showed 4♥ 5♠2♥ 9♦ and after Dobrolskii checked, Cheng fired for 25,000. Dobrolskii then check-raised to 125,000 and Cheng made the call before the 7♠arrived on the end.
Dobrolskii checked it and called off when Cheng put him all in. He had Jâ™ J♦ and it was good against Cheng’s J♥ 9♥ for top pair.
With that pot Dobrolskii climbs to just shy of a million in chips to take the lead.
12am: Ye Zhang bubbles a payday
Level 16: Blinds 10,000/20,000 (3,000 ante)
We are now in the money after Ye Zhang was caught out by Ying Yee Cheng.
They got the all the chips in preflop and Zhang was in need of a lot of help to keep his High Roller dream alive.
Zhang: 6♠5♦
Cheng: 9♠9♣
The 9♦ 2♦ 3â™ flop saw Cheng spike top set but Zhang did have a glimmer of hope with a gut shot straight draw. Needing a four to win the pot he couldn’t find one on the A♥ turn or 7♥ river.
Zhang leaves us in 6th place while our five remaining players guarantee themselves at least HK$246,000.
11:50pm: James Chen sent packing
Level 15: Blinds 10,000/20,000 (3,000 ante)
Last night’s HK$80,000 High Roller champion James Chen won’t be winning back-to-back titles. He was just felted by Ying Yee Cheng.
The two got all the money in on an action flop of 3♠6♣ 2♥ . Chen checked it to Cheng who fired for 40,000. Chen moved all in over the top and Cheng called it off with enough to cover.
Chen: 6â™ 5â™
Cheng: 3♣ 2♣
It was the top pair and straight draw of James against Yee’s bottom two pair but Yee improved to a full house on the 2â™ turn. Down to just a six or the 4â™ for a straight flush James was unable to find one as the J♣ river signalled his elimination.
And with that we are now on the direct money bubble.
11:40pm: Jinghui Ying doubles up
Level 15: Blinds 8,000/16,000 (2,000 ante)
Jinghui Ying got his last 210,000 all in preflop and was at risk against Vladimir Dobrolskii.
Ying: J♠J♥
Dobrolskii:10♦ 10♦
Ying had the lead preflop and held it when the cards fell 3♥ 7♥ 5♥ Q♦ 2♠.
He moved up to 445,000 while Dobrolskii dipped to a still respectable 620,000.
11:25pm: Tran pushes
Level 15: Blinds 8,000/16,000 (2,000 ante)
Linh Tran has picked up some chips from James Chen after an all-in move on the turn.
Tran kicked things off with a raise to 35,000 from the hijack seat and Chen defended his big blind to see a flop of 4♠4♦ 5♥ . Chen checked it over to Tran and he continued for 40,000.
Chen called and the 5â™ turn double-paired the board. With that card falling Chen opted to lead out for 100,000 in chips. Tran stood up from his seat and thought for around a minute before pushing all in for 205,000.
Chen snap-folded and fell to 260,000 as Tran raked in the pot.
11:05pm: Burns can’t hold
Level 14: Blinds 6,000/12,000 (2,000 ante)
Simon Burns has fallen by the wayside just a couple of places shy of a return on his investment. He moved all in preflop with A♦ 10♣ and was called by Ying Yee Chen holding K♣ Q♣ .
Burns held through the 10♠5♣ 7♠flop but the Q♥ turn saw Chen take the lead.
The 5â™ couldn’t save Burns and he left the tournament area while Chen climbed to 550,000.
10:50pm: Hamnet bubbles final table
Level 14: Blinds 6,000/12,000 (1,000 ante)
Benjamin Hamnet has left us in 10th place after an unfortunate turn of luck versus Vladimir Dobrolskii.
Hamnet opened to 27,500 before Dobrolskii moved all in from the small blind. Hamnet called off for his life and the cards went on their backs.
Hamnet: K♠K♥
Dobrolskii: 10♥ 10♦
Hamnet was in front with kings and looked good to stay alive until a nasty river card on the 3♥ 8♣ 9♠Q♠10♣ runout.
Hamnet leaves us right before the players merge into a final table, but with only five places paying he wasn’t the money bubble.
10:35pm: Lucky double for He
Level 14: Blinds 6,000/12,000 (1,000 ante)
Chang He is lucky to still be in the running after ending up on the right end of a battle of the blinds versus Vladimir Dobrolskii.
It folded to He in the small blind and he moved all in for 223,500 only to be snapped off by Dobrolskii in the big blind.
He: J♥ 7♥
Dobrolskii: 9♠9♥
He needed some help and he found it on the J♠Q♣ K♣ flop. Needing to fade a nine or a ten he succeeded when the 5♦ turn and 5♠finished the board.
He secured the double while Dobrolskii fell to 360,000 in chips.
10:20pm: Burns caught bluffing
Level 13: Blinds 5,000/10,000 (1,000 ante)
On a flop of 8♣ 2♠6♠Ying Yee Chen bet 25,000 from the small blind before Simon burns raised to 55,000 from the big blind. Chen stuck around and the 2♦ turn paired the board.
The action was checked through and the 5♥ completed the board.
Chen check again before Burns took a stab at it for 60,000. After a quick call from Chen Burns tabled J♣ 10♣ for an air ball, way behind Chen’s J♥ J♦ .
After picking off that bluff Chen moves up to 450,000 in chips.
10pm: Mooney makes an exit
Level 13: Blinds 5,000/10,000 (1,000 ante)
Australia’s Geoffrey Mooney has been eliminated by James Chen.
Mooney moved all in preflop for his final 102,500 before Chen moved all in over the top. The rest of the table folded and the two of them revealed their hands.
Mooney: K♦ 3♦
Chen: 7♥ 7♣
Mooney needed some help and he picked up a flush draw on the 8♣ 7♦ 2♦ . Unfortunately for Mooney, Chen simultaneously improved to a set and turned that into quads on the 7♠turn. That card signalled the end for Mooney before the 3♠even arrived on the river.
Mooney left the tournament area and Chen stacked up a new total of 315,000.

9:10pm: Dinner break

9:05pm: Pete Chen chipping up
Level 12: Blinds 4,000/8,000 (1,000 ante)
The 2014 Asia Player of the Year Pete Chen is in contention today and he just took down a pot with some preflop aggression.
Linh Tran opened before Chen moved all in for 151,500 from the small blind. Tran counted out his own stack and went into the tank but ultimately decided against a call.
Tran lifted his hand up and slammed it face down next to the muck, but as one tablemate saw the cards, Tran’s 6♣ 6♦ was flipped up for the rest of the table to see.
After that pot Tran still has 255,000 in play.
8:50pm: Payout information
Level 12: Blinds 4,000/8,000 (1,000 ante)
Now that the tournament is locked out we can tell you including re-entries there is a total player field of 33. Those entries generated a total prize pool of HK$3,040,950 and the top five places will be receiving a payout.

8:35pm: Cheng vs Chen

James Chen raised to 12,000 before Ying Yee Cheng repopped it to 35,000 on the button. Chen came back over the top with a raise to 112,000 which was for most Chen’s stack, and she committed for her tournament life. Chen flicked in the excess and the card went on their backs.

Chen: 8♦ 7♦
Chen was in front but in danger versus Cheng’s suited connectors. Cheng managed to hold on the 6â™ Jâ™ 9♣ 7♥ 6♣ runout to double through Chen who now sits with 185,000 in chips.
8:15pm: Jinghui Ling doubles
Level 11: Blinds 3,000/6,000 (500 ante)
Jinghui Ling has doubled up to stay alive after winning a crucial flip against Vladimir Dobrolskii. Ling got his last 153,500 in preflop and had the slight mathematical edge.
Ling: Q♣ Q♦
Dobrolskii: A♦ K♦
The community cards fell 8♣ 10♠7♠9♣ Q♦ with Ling fading danger and even improving to a set on the end to double up.
Subsequently Dobrolskii dropped to 380,000.
8:00pm: Zhang doubles through Burns
Level 10: Blinds 2,000/4,000 (500 ante)
After a raise to 8,000 Simon Burns made the call before it folded around to Ye Zhang in the small blind. The latter moved all in for 42,500 and after the initial raiser folded, Burns made the call to put Zhang at risk.

They were flipping and Zhang found a king on the 3♠K♥ J♠flop to take the lead. The Q♠turn gave Burns a straight draw but when he hit a set on the 10♦ river it was Zhang who had the best hand with a Broadway straight.
7:45pm: Yaxi Zhu joins the field
Level 10: Blinds 2,000/4,000 (500 ante)
It’s the last level of late registration now and Team PokerStars Pro Yaxi Zhu just joined us.
She has been seated at the table with fellow teammate Randy Lew, as well as James Chen, and another late arrival Pete Chen.
Zhu will sit down with 100,000 for 25 big blinds.
7:30pm: Ye Zhang gets one through
Level 8: Blinds 1,500/3,000 (500 ante)
It folded around to James Chen on the button and he raised to 6,500.
Ye Zhang was sitting in the small blind with under 15 big blinds and he pushed all in over the top. The big blind folded and with the decision back on Chen he went into the tank.
Chen got a count and deliberated further over the 43,500. Ultimately he folded the hand and Zhang showed the A♥ .
After that hand Chen still has around 180,000.
7:10pm: Sick river sees Dobrolskii paid
Level 8: Blinds 1,500/3,000 (500 ante)
Benjamin Hamnet kicked things off with preflop raise to 6,500. Chang He called on the button, Vladimir Dobrolskii called in the small blind and Linh Tran flicked in a call from the big blind.
The flop was a paired J♦ J♥ 4♠and all players checked to see the 5♥ turn.
Dobrolskii led at it for 12,500 and after Tran folded, the other two called before the 8♥ river arrived. Dobrolskii checked on the end, Hamnet checked behind but He fired for 55,000.
It was then that Dobrolskii reached deep and raised for around 150,000. Hamnet let it go but He couldn’t throw away his A♥ 10♥ for the rivered nut flush. Dobrowlskii had that beat with 8♣ 8♦ for a rivered full house.

6:40pm: Lew lifting
Level 7: Blinds 1,200/2,400 (400 ante)
Jinghui Lin opened to 5,500 preflop before Team PokerStars Pro Randy Lew three-bet to 16,000 from the cutoff. When the action got to Vladimir Dobrolskii in the small blind he put in a cold four-bet to 38,900.
Lew made the call and saw a flop of A♠7♣ 3♣ . Dobrolskii gave his decision considerable thought before checking it over to Lew. The Team Pro fired for 32,600 and Dobrolskii tossed his hand in the muck.
Lew moves up to 195,000 in chips.
6:35pm: Three aces for Hamnet
Level 7: Blinds 1,200/2,400 (400 ante)
Benjamin Hamnet opened to 5,300 preflop and when it folded to Hsin-Yuan Huang in the small blind he reraised to 20,300. With the decision back to Hamnet he put in a four-bet to 44,300.
Huang stuck around and the flop landed A♣ 8♥ A♠. It was checked around and the dealer turned the K♠. The action checked through again and the 10♣ arrived on the river.
After a final check from Huang, Hamnet bet 30,500 and showed A♦ 6♦ when he was paid off. Hamnet scoops that pot and builds to right around 200,000 in chips.
6:20pm: Wayne Zhang eliminated
Level 6: Blinds 1,000/2,000 (300 ante)
As current second place on the Asia Player of the Year leader board Wayne Zhang has had a great year on the felt, but he has been able to continue that trend in this High Roller event.
Zhang got the last of his chips in good after calling off for his life from the big blind versus the small blind jam from Jack Salter.

Salter: J♥ 7♦
Zhang lost the lead on the J♠5♦ 4♣ flop and was unable to reclaim it when the 10♥ turn and 5♣ river signalled the end of his tournament run.
Late registration is still open and while Zhang was spotted leaving the tournament area, he may be back to utlilize his single re-entry.
6:05pm: Zhang doubles but still short
Level 6: Blinds 1,000/2,000 (300 ante)
Wayne Zhang was down to his last 12,200 and moved all in from under the gun.
Jack Wu was next to act and he made the call. The rest of the table folded and the two players tabbed the cards.

Wu: A♠10♥
Zhang had the better kicker and he improved further when he spiked a jack on the 7♣ 3♣ 9♦ 7♦ J♥ runout. He secures that double up to keep his HK$100,000 High Roller dream alive.
5:50pm: James Chen chips up
Level 5: Blinds 800/1,600 (200 ante)
James Chen is here to see if he can win two High Roller titles in 24 hours. He emerged victorious in the HK$80,000 late last night and he’s back today in this HK$100,000.
Chen now sits with 130,000 from a starting 100,000 after taking a pot from Shan Huang.
With the board reading 10♣ 5♣ A♦ 2♦ Chen checked it over to Huang who barrelled for 13,000. Chen then raised it up to 45,000 before Huang let him have it.
5:35pm: Lew busts two at once
Level 5: Blinds 800/1,600 (200 ante)
Team PokerStars Pro Randy Lew just won a big pot after eliminating both Qiang Liu and Ye Zhang in a three-way preflop all in. Lew had enough to cover both their stacks when all in the money went into the middle.

Jack Wu raised to 2,800 from the hijack seat and after a call from Ying Yee Chen in the cutoff the decision was on Benjamin Hamnet on the button.
Hamnet chose to squeeze with a three-betting to 9,200.
Wu gave it up and after some consideration Chen did the same. Hamnet now has around 85,000 in chips at his disposal.
5:10pm: Lew making a comeback
Level 4: Blinds 600/1,200 (200 ante)
Team PokerStars Pro Randy Lew had a rough start today but his stack is now moving in the right direction after taking a pot from Leon Hsu.
After Hsu raised in the cutoff Lew put in a three-bet from the small blind. Hsu made the call and the flop landed K♥ 10♦ Q♣ . Both players checked and the 2♣ fell on the turn.
Lew then fired for 6,800 and Hsu didn’t hesitate to relinquish his hand. With that Lew moves back up to 52,000.

4:35pm: Salter takes a small one from Zhang
Level 4: Blinds 500/1,000 (100 ante)
Jack Salter is continuing to display his dominance, this time winning a small pot from new addition to the field Wayne Zhang.
Salter raised the button to 2,300 and Zhang called from the small blind to see a flop of 4♠K♦ Q♣ . The action was checked through and the 8♠arrived on the turn.
The action was checked down all the way to the river despite Salter turning a pair with 8♣ 7♥ . That was the best hand by the end as Zhang flashed 9♣ 7♣ .
4:20pm: First elimination and new arrivals
Level 4: Blinds 500/1,000 (100 ante)
We’re now up to a total of 22 entrants in this HK$100,000 High Roller event.
Asia Player of the Year leader board current first and second place Jack Wu and Wayne Zhang respectively have now taken their seats. Also joining the field is last night’s $HK80,000 champion James Chen.
Chang He was our first elimination but he quickly re-entered and has sat down in exactly the same seat.
4:05pm: Lew loses some more
Level 3: Blinds 400/800 (100 ante)
Team PokerStars Pro Randy Lew is off to a terrible start here, already losing over half his stack in the early stages.
Lew lost some more in a recent small pot after a preflop button raise to 1,800. The big blind defended and the flop came down J♣ 9♠9♣ .
When checked to Lew continued for 1,600 and was called before the Aâ™ arrived on the turn. The action went check check and the 7â™ completed the board.
The big blind led for 2,600 on the river and Lew quickly folded, dropping further to 44,000.
3:45pm: Salter climbing
Level 3: Blinds 400/800 (100 ante)
Jack Salter is our chip leader here after his river value bet was paid off by Hsin-Yuan Huang.
The hand went three-way to a flop and after the 8♠2♠J♣ flop was checked around the J♥ turn paired the board. Salter then led at it for 12,300 and both Huang and Geoffrey Mooney called to see the A♥ river.
Salter bet 10,000 on the end, Huang called and Mooney folded before Salter tabled the winner with A♣ Q♦ . Huang showed A♠7♠but his inferior kicked meant Salter would scoop the pot and climb to 215,000.
3:30pm: Mooney and Liu chop it up
Level 2: Blinds 400/800
The action went three-handed to a flop of 6♣ 10♥ 6♥ and after Mooney check from the big blind, and Qiang Liu checked from the hijack seat, Shan Huang made a bet of 6,600.
Mooney called but Liu bumped it up to a total of 16,600. Huang got out of the way but Mooney called before the dealer turned the 8♦ .
The action went check check and again on the K♣ river with Mooney tabling 10♠9♥ and Liu flipping 10♠J♠to chop the pot.
3:15pm: Salter stacks some more
Level 2: Blinds 400/800
Geoffrey Mooney raised to 2,000 under the gun before Jack Salter three-bet to 6,500. Mooney flicked in a call and they went to a flop of J♦ A♠2♦ .
Mooney checked and Salter continued for 6,500 which was good enough to take down the pot.
“I want to tweet on the break that I’m chip leader” Salter confessed as he moved up to 162,000.
3pm: Four-bet from Huang
Level 1: Blinds 300/600
Shan Huang brought it in for a raise to 1,300 from under the gun before next-to-act Benjamin Hamnet reraised t 3,700.
Huang wanted to play for more and put in a four-bet to 10,000.
“We can rebuy” Huang said with a smile.
“You can rebuy, I only have one bullet” Hamnet jested back.
After 30 seconds Hamnet tossed his hand away and the chips were pushed to Huang.
2:50pm: Two tables, familiar faces

The tournament has now been split into two tables with more players finally taking their seats.
Team PokerStars Pro Randy Lew has joined the mix. He is seated with recent APPT Manila champion Linh Tran. The adjacent table includes Red Dragon third place finisher Jack Salter, Red Dragon fourth place finisher Benjamin Hamnet, and last night’s High Roller 5th place finisher Jordan Kaplan.

After a delayed start the action is now underway.
While a lot of typical High Roller players are hovering around the tournament area, only 10 have officially entered, and only 7 are in their seats.
There is one re-entry and five hour late registration available so the field is expected to grow.

Welcome back to PokerStars LIVE Macau for today’s HK$100,000 Single Day High Roller.
Players will be wandering in soon to take their seats in the hunt for a trophy and what will undoubtedly be a sizeable payday.
The tournament offers one re-entry so players who face elimination before the end of late registration may take another shot at the tables.
