Twenty-nine players returned from the most recent break of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Main Event, all who remain from the 816 players who entered.

Emrah Cakmak, Pratyush Buddiga, Chance Kornuth, and Juan Martin Pastor (whom we met earlier today) all returned to big, comparable stacks hovering around 1.7-1.8 million, thus setting the quartet some half-million ahead of the rest.

Meanwhile at the front of the chase pack is Shyam Srinivasan, a player who knows a little something about being among the leaders near the end of a PCA Main Event. That’s because just one year ago, Srinivasan made it all of the way to the final table here before finishing sixth for $328,030.

That result represented the best finish by far for the Toronto-based Srinivasan who has also collected EPT cashes in Sanremo, Monte Carlo, Deauville, London, Prague, and Vienna. Srinivasan sits with about 1.25 million to start Level 23, the last scheduled for today.

Meanwhile two other players among the final 29 also cashed here a year ago, both of whom have already guaranteed better finishes for themselves this time around.

Tim Reilly of Massachusetts made it all of the way to 67th here a year ago for $27,100. His best career score came in the EPT Deauville High Roller event where he finished runner-up to Vojtech Ruzicka to earn a €180,000 prize worth nearly a quarter million USD.

Here Reilly sits with about 620,000, about two-thirds the average at present.

Finally Dylan Linde of Idaho took 112th here in 2014 for $20,300, then went to the WSOP and cashed a cool nine times during a stellar year. Linde’s stack of about 860,000 puts him just below the average.

As Linde’s summer in Vegas shows — and has been demonstrated here in the Atlantis many times over the years — the experience of going deep before is always a help when doing so again.

Just ask Stefan Jedlicka, who finished third in the LAPT Bahamas Main Event last week and who also finds himself still alive among the final 29 with about a half million chips.
