And just like that, it’s all over. There has been a little back and forth over the past half a dozen or so hands but for the most part, we’ve only seen smallish pots won.

Omar Del Pino had chipped up a little since going heads up and had increased his lead over Romain Feriolo. The final hand of the tournament began with an open to 750,000 by Del Pino and Feriolo wasted no time in shipping all-in for 7.725 million. Del Pino insta-called and they turned their cards on their backs.

Feriolo was looking to hit as they went to the flop and it came 10♣ Q♠ A♣ . It was a pair apiece for our players and the K♥ turn, didn’t bring a lot of change, except that there was now four jacks that would chop the pot.

The 5♠ river bricked for Feriolo, securing the victory for Del Pino. The Spaniard wins €179,000, the title, the trophy and one of the PSPC Platinum passes, that will take him to the Bahamas next year. Congratulations also go to Feriolo, our runner up, who will take home €107,500. –LY

The players are back in their seats and heads-up play has started. Omar Del Pino has 20.475 million and Romain Feriolo is playing 10.350 million. –NW

1:40pm: Ole Rauff Hansen eliminated in third place (€ 76,000)

And then there were two…

From the small blind Omar Del Pino opened to 675,000 and Ole Rauff Hansen called from the big blind. On the Q♣ 3♥ 8♣ flop Del Pino c-bet 550,000 and Rauff Hansen stuck around. The 4♦ fell on the turn, Del Pino fired another 875,000 and Rauff Hansen called. The 10♥ completed the board and Del Pino emptied the clip. He fired out 2.375 million. This sent Rauff Hansen into the tank, he took his time and then announced that he was all-in.

Del Pino wanted a count. It was 6.1 million total and after about 30 seconds of thinking he made the call. Rauff Hansen went to muck, but his cards had to be shown. He had 6♠ 5♠ for a busted straight draw, Del Pino showed 8♥ 4♣ for two-pair.

The two players are taking a short break before heads-up play begins. –NW

What began as a limped pot, ended with an all-in and call! Ole Rauff Hansen limped from the small blind and Romain Feriolo checked his option in the big blind. On the 3♦ Q♣ 5♦ flop Rauff Hansen bet 250,000, Feriolo raised to 500,000, Rauff Hasen shoved for 3.925 million total and Feriolo called.

The 6♥ 3♥ turn and river improved Rauff Hansen to a full house and he doubled up to 8.2 million, Feriolo is down to 9.2 million. –NW

1:20pm: Feriolo takes from Del Pino

Romain Feriolo has just clawed some back from chipleader Omar Del Pino. Del Pino opened the button to 450,000 and Feriolo defended his big blind.

The all spade flop saw both players check. On the A♥ turn, Feriolo check-called Del Pino’s 525,000 bet. The final card was the Q♠ and once again Feriolo checked. Del Pino set 625,000 over the line and it was a quick reraise to 1.5 million by Feriolo and an equally quick call from Del Pino.

Feriolo turned over K♠ 3♥ for the nuts and Del Pino threw his cards into the muck. After that hand, the Frenchman has pulled up to over 12 million in chips. –LY

So the final three play on, Omar Del Pino has almost double the stack of Roman Feriolo and still holds a commanding chip lead. –NW

Our final three asked for the clock to be paused, so that they could take a look at the numbers. After about 10 minutes of discussion and number crunching, they couldn’t reach a deal and play will resume now. –LY

1pm: Iñigo Naveiro out in 4th place (€57,000)

Just a couple of hands after Saltonas left us, we have another all-in and a call.

Iñigo Naveiro was the shortest player left at the table and when action folded round to him, he moved all-in blind v blind. Omar Del Pino was the man to his left and after checking the price, he made the 1.3 million call.

Del Pino was ahead but Naveiro had two live cards as the dealer laid out the board.

Del Pino held and he knocks out Naveiro in 4th place. He is now playing with 16.5 million. –LY

12:55pm: Del Pino strengthens his grip

Omar Del Pino now has almost half the chips in play after winning a pot against Ole Rauff Hansen. The hand started with a raise under-the-gun to 450,000 from Hansen and Del Pino called from the big blind.

The 8♣ K♥ 3♣ flop was where the hand started to get interesting. Rauff Hansen c-bet 450,000, Del Pino check-raised to 1.1 million, Hansen then re-raised to 1.9 million and Del Pino called. The 5♣ turn completed the flush draw and Del Pino shoved all-in. Rauff Hansen had 5.5 million back and clearly had a tough decision. Iñigo Naveiro only had about 1.8 million so there were ICM considerations at play too.

Eventually Rauff Hansen folded and Del Pino showed just the 10♥ as he took the pot. –NW

12:45pm: Tomas Saltonas finishes in 5th place (€ 44,000)

It was a classic flip that lead to Tomas Saltonas’ exit. Romain Feriolo started the proceedings with a 425,000 open from under-the-gun and Saltonas moved all-in over the top for 1.85 million. Once all the other players had gotten out of the way, Feriolo snap called.

The 5♥ 6♠ 7♣ flop didn’t really change much but the J♣ turn did. Feriolo had improved to a set and Saltonas was looking for clubs to make a flush. The 7♠ filled up Feriolo’s and it signalled the end for the Lithuanian. –LY

12:35pm: Zhong Chen eliminated in sixth place (€32,000)

On just the second hand of play Zhong Chen moved all-in from the cutoff for 1.15 million and Romain Feriolo called from the big blind.

The 2♥ 2♠ 8♦ 3♠ J♠ board was safe for Chen until the river. He’s out in sixth and shook hands with the players as he left. –NW

12:30pm: Feriolo takes a hit

On the first hand we had a pot that made it all the way to showdown. Romain Feriolo opened to 400,000 from under-the-gun and Ole Rauff Hansen called from the big blind. On the A♣ K♠ 4♦ flop Feriolo c-bet 600,000 and Rauff Hansen stuck around. The 4♣ turn card checked through and the 4♥ completed the board. Rauff Hansen led for 800,000 and Feriolo went into the tank. Eventually he called the 800,000 but he threw the chips into the pot deliberatly in the direction of Rauff Hansen, almost as if he knew it was a donation. Rauff Hansen opened A♦ J♠ for a full house and Feriolo mucked.

After that hand Rauff Hansen is up to 9 million and Feriolo is down to 5 million–NW

11:40am: A platinum day for Del Pino?

Welcome back to our coverage of the PokerStars Festival Marbella Main Event. Just six players remain and Omar Del Pino has a large chip lead over the rest of the field. The Spanish player has already secured the biggest live cash of his career, but can he also pick up his first live tournament victory?

The remaining six players are all guaranteed €32,000 but for the winner today they’ll take home €179,000 and, one of those shiny Platinum Passes that we’ve been handing out during 2018. That pass is worth $30,000, of which $25,000 will go to the buy-in for the PSPC in the Bahamas in 2019, an event that will be the biggest $25,000 poker tournament ever held. Below is what they’re playing for.

Among those looking to deny Del Pino the victory will be Romain Feriolo. The Frenchman final tabled the EPT Grand Final way back in Season 1 (2005) and has some history in this event too, he finished ninth in 2016. Another player with a great past performance in this event is Iñigo Naveiro. He was runner-up last year, he won €102,700 but was denied the title by Ignacio De Maturana.

Cards are in the air at noon, but they’ll actually start about 15 minutes later. Remember that Platinum Pass we mentioned above? Well today we’re giving out three. One to the winner of the Main Event, one to the winner of the Marbella Cup and as for the third, that’ll be handed out in a flipout that starts at noon. Everyone who’s made Day 2 of the €330 Marbella Poker Cup will be taking part in that. We expect madness, excilirating excitement and maybe even tears. The same could be said for this final table.
