After two starting flights split across two locations, the Moneymaker’s Road to PSPC – Seminole Main Event has set up nicely for an exciting final day on Sunday.

On Friday out of 177 total entries there were 19 survivors from both Seminole Casino Coconut Creek and Seminole Hard Rock. Among them were the tournament’s namesake Chris Moneymaker who bagged the chip lead at Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, and Scott Baumstein who led the way at night’s end at the Hard Rock.

Today’s Day 1B saw 287 entries altogether, bringing the overall total to 464. The poker room at the Hard Rock had the bigger field once again, with a few familiar faces among them, including Brandon Welter who not only won a Platinum Pass last time around but cashed for $35K as well at the first PSPC in the Bahamas.

Alas Welter didn’t survive the day. Nor did last year’s champion Andy Risquez with whom we spoke early in the day.

Jorge Aristizabal who won a Platinum Pass here at the Seminole Hard Rock last year via a drawing. Alas, he also fell short today in his attempt to win one the hard way.

But 23 players did from the Hard Rock, as did another six from Coconut Creek. That means 48 players have made the cash and will return tomorrow to continue down Moneymaker’s Road.

Zoltan Czinkota bagged a big total of 492,500 today — more than anyone else did yesterday — which means it looks as though he’ll be one at the top of the counts when play resumes tomorrow.

Play starts at 11 a.m. on Sunday and they’ll play all of the way down to a winner. Come back then and see who ends up with all the chips and the Platinum Pass tomorrow!
