It was certainly a busy Sunday on PokerStars this weekend!

Of course, the biggest news was the infamous Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) hosting its 2014 edition of tournaments. With three buy-in levels of each event and more than $40 million in guarantees throughout the series, players were getting into the online poker tournament action.

And for those who love to play for millions – of PLAY chips – the PokerStars PLAY game on Facebook was hosting its first ever PlaySCOOP series. Stay tuned for more information as the site grows to near 200,000 players.

This week, our Women’s Sunday was an exciting one:

Total players: 235
Guarantee: $10,000.00
Prize pool: $11,750.00
Paid finishers: 36

There was one Team PokerStars Pro in action today, and it was none other than Liv Boeree. And by the time the tournament was down to just two tables, she was at the top of the leaderboard. She clearly wanted to take her own $50 bounty!

However, as the final table neared, players like Aurora_2011 doubled through Boeree, and psdesita did it twice. The last one hurt Boeree and relegated her to the shortest stack of 13 players. She then doubled through Donna Draper, though, to stay alive.

Meanwhile, nutsformoney was in trouble and risked all of her chips with 10♥ 10♠ , but VVVictorYYY called with K♣ K♦ . Nothing changed on the board, and nutsformoney was ousted in tenth place with $188.00.

VVVictorYYY looks for victory

The final table kicked off in Level 28, with blinds at 2K/4K and a 600 ante, along with these players and their chip counts:

Seat 1: FláviaReis (44,165 in chips)
Seat 2: psdesita (140,050 in chips)
Seat 3: Chickula-1- (35,798 in chips)
Seat 4: Dozza84 (208,996 in chips)
Seat 5: VVVictorYYY (306,359 in chips)
Seat 6: ShowMustG00n (179,095 in chips)
Seat 7: Liv Boeree (54,402 in chips)
Seat 8: Aurora_2011 (33,430 in chips)
Seat 9: Donna Draper (172,705 in chips)

On the second hand of play, FlaviaReis doubled through Dozza84.

Two hands after that, Aurora_2011 made her move with A♠ J♥ , all-in for little more than 25K chips. FlaviaReis reraised all-in from the small blind, and original raiser ShowMustG00n folded. FlaviaReis showed A♣ Q♣ , and that hand only improved more on the 5♠ 6♣ 5♦ 10♣ 7♣ board to a flush. Aurora_2011 exited in ninth place with $223.25.

Chickula-1- doubled through Donna Draper and then through FlaviaReis. After two chopped all-in pots, Boeree finally doubled through VVVictorYYY.

Boeree then moved all-in again. The hand started with a button raise from VVVictorYYY, and Boeree responded with an all-in reraise from the big blind with K♠ 7♠ . VVVictorYYY called with 10♥ 10♦ , and that pair turned into two on the A♠ Q♥ 2♦ J♣ Q♦ board. VVVictorYYY collected the $50 bounty, and Liv Boeree left in eighth place with $293.75.

Psdesita doubled through Donna Draper, and the latter had become the shortest stack at the table. Donna Draper soon pushed with A♦ 10♥ UTG, and psdesita called with A♠ 9♠ . The board delivered 5♦ 4♣ 9♦ J♥ 2♣ , and Donna Draper was out in seventh place with $411.25.

FlaviaReis doubled through VVVictoryYY, and the latter than took a pot worth nearly 200K chips from Dozza84 to solidify her lead over the group. Dozza84 did double through VVVictorYYY, however, to stay in solid shape. Chickula-1- doubled through ShowMustG00n.

Dozza84 was back in action to see a raised flop with VVVictorYYY. The cards were Q♦ K♠ 3♣ , and Dozza84 bet. VVVictorYYY raised, and Dozza84 responded by moving all-in with K♥ 8♠ for top pair. But VVVictorYYY quickly called with K♦ Q♠ for top two pair, and the 2♦ and 5♣ finished the hand. Dozz84 was gone in sixth place with $528.75.

On the very next hand, FlaviaReis made her move from the big blind with A♥ 9♠ after an initial raise from VVVictorYYY. But VVVictorYYY called with A♠ K♦ and only improved on the 5♣ 7♥ Q♠ 4♠ K♥ board. FlaviaReis was ousted in fifth place with $681.50.

VVVictorYYY was simply dominating with her chip lead, but ShowMustG00n wasn’t giving up so easily and doubled through her in this hand:

When psdesita was ready to risk her last chips, ShowMustG00n was there with 9♦ 9♣ . Psdesita showed A♥ J♠ , but the board of 5♣ 5♠ 4♦ 5♦ A♦ only gave ShowMustG00n the full house. Psdesita departed in fourth place with $998.75.

Chickula-1- doubled through VVVictorYYY, and ShowMustG00n went after VVVictorYYY. This hand crippled VVVictorYYY:

VVVictorYYY was all-in on the next hand, and Chickula-1- and ShowMustG00n saw a raised flop of 8â™  4â™  3♣ . They checked to see the K♣ turn and 10♥ river, at which point, they both checked again. ShowMustG00n showed 10♦ 2â™  for the pair of tens, and Chickula-1- mucked. VVVictorYYY, who won a Women’s Sunday last year, exited today in third place with $1,327.75.

ShowMustG00n seeks second title

The heads-up match began with these chip counts:

Seat 3: Chickula-1- (185,583 in chips)
Seat 6: ShowMustG00n (989,417 in chips)

Chickula-1- doubled several times but couldn’t gain enough ground to put ShowMustG00n at risk. Finally, Chickula-1- was back down to less than 150K chips and pushed all-in with 5♥ 6♥ . ShowMustG00n called with A♣ Q♣ , which only got better on the 3♦ 10♦ 8♣ 4♣ 10♣ with a rivered flush. Chickula-1- accepted second place and $1,762.50.

ShowMustG00n, who won this title back in 2012, claimed another Women’s Sunday victory, along with $2,402.98 in cash. Congrats!
