MicroMillions 2022 has been nothing short of a roaring success, smashing its guarantees. The final weekend included the $22 Main Event and the $55 High Roller, paying out by far the highest prizes of the series. Here’s a summary of the action.


MICROMILLIONS FINAL STATS

Guarantees for the MicroMillions 2022 series were originally set for $4.5 million. The series proved immensely popular, attracting over 1.1 million entries to make for actual total prize pools of over $5.8 million.

First-place prizes: $571,069 (inc. $157,841 in bounties)


FULL MICROMILLIONS RESULTS


MICROMILLIONS MAIN EVENT

A total of 27,544 entries were made to the $22 MicroMillions Main Event (PKO), including 9,927 reentries. This made for a prize pool of $550,880, with half going to player’s bounties and half to payouts.

PokerStars Team Pro were out in force, with three making the money. [Papo]AR and Wistern both min cashed, and Fintan “easywithaces” Hand lasted longest, finishing 160th and cashing for $356 including bounties.

Brazilians dominated the final table, with six of nine players hailing from Brazil. Ukraine, New Zealand and the UK were also represented.

Heads-up, “jimpot139” of the UK and “mathews085” of Brazil battled it out for the final bounty. Jimpot came second for $26,454 (inc. $2,616 bounties) and mathews085 came first for $36,295 (inc. $12,423 bounties).

MICROMILLIONS HIGH ROLLER

Over in the $55 High Roller, easily the most expensive event of the series, 6,546 entries were made, including 1,878 reentries, making for a prize pool of $327,300.

943 players were paid at least the minimum of $110, with the top five players set to earn five figure scores.

Out of the PokerStars Team Pro members who entered, Tom “MajinBoob” Hayward and Sebastian “peace&loove” Huber both min cashed.

Compared to the Main Event, there was a much wider representation of nations on the final table of the High Roller. Players came from Czech Republic, Brazil, Malta, Montenegro, Poland, and the UK.

Heads-up, “||||Squarepants” of Malta faced “deanlogue” of the UK. Squarepants came second for $32,634, and deanlogue came first for $46,507 – earning the biggest single score of MicroMillions.

COUNTRIES LEADER BOARD

No surprises here. We’re used to it by now. Brazil claimed 43 titles in MicroMillions, way more than any other country. Germany came second and UK third. Perhaps more of a takeaway is the fact that players from 40 countries earned titles, demonstrating the continuing popularity of online poker around the globe.
