Incredible weekend for Lex Veldhuis

If you didn’t tune in to poker streamer extraordinaire Lex Veldhuis’s Twitch channel over the weekend, you missed out on an amazing display of great play and run good across two dream sessions, the likes of which every poker player pines for.

The first sign that great things were about to happen came in the form of a $109 Kickoff victory on Saturday (Jan 2) for $5,684.

The action was far from over. Lex then went on to finish the night chip leader in the Blowout Series $2,100 buy-in Saturday KO (14 left of 172; $31K up top) and was also in the top 150 of the $215 version of the same event overnight (4,281 left; $52K up top).

If that wasn’t enough, Lex also made the final table of the $215 buy-in hyper-turbo (Event #23-H), where there was another $34K on offer to the winner. However, Veldhuis lost a huge flip when stacks were super short to finish in sixth for $5,577.

It was an insane stream. The most insane stream ever, according to Lex.

Tens of thousands tuned in the following day (Sunday, Jan 3) to watch Lex continue to crush the $2,100 PKO. He dominated the tournament, picking up bounties left, right and centre before a heads-up cooler resulted in a second-place finish for $51,219 (including bounties).

If that wasn’t enough, we then had the $5,200 PKO High Roller, in which Lex finished 20th for another $20,000.

What a weekend. Don’t miss out next time!

RobinPoker begins ‘1,000 hours in 100 days’ challenge

If you check the Twitch Poker directory between 9am and 7pm GMT every day for the next 100 days, you’ll see the same streamer at work. No days off.

Lukas “RobinPoker” Robinson, who plays on PokerStars under the screenname “Lukas_Robo”, is attempting to beat PokerStars Ambassador Arlie Shaban’s Twitch record by streaming 1,000 hours in just 100 days (that’s 10 hours a day for those of you who skipped maths class).

RobinPoker has taken the leap into full-time streaming and poker playing in 2021 and we wish him the best of luck at the tables throughout the challenge.

Seems like things are going well so far:
