WCOOP ends for another year
After more than three weeks the World Championship of Online Poker came to a close on Tuesday when German player Jonas “llJaYJaYll” Lauck won the Main Event. The field of 2,091 amounted to a prize pool in excess of $10 million, which meant Lauck’s share was more than $1,517,541.
Meanwhile in the player of the Series race Fabrizio “SixthSenSe19” Gonzalez who took top spot with an excellent Championship that put him nearly 200 points clear of second placed Connor “blanconegro” Drinan.

Free money to be won in the next $1 Million PokerStars Freeroll
This week we announced details of the next $1 Million PokerStars freeroll coming up in October. It’s the second event of its type and is open to all PokerStars players who qualify via one of the challenges (found in the Challenges Window in the PokerStars lobby).

LAPT Uruguay concludes
The week began wither news from Uruguay where the LAPT Main Event came to a close. It was won by Pedro Claus from Argentina who topped a field of 438 players to claim a first prize of $90,630.

Eureka Hamburg in full swing
After Uruguay, next up on the PokerStars calendar was Eureka Hamburg, which kicked off earlier this week. The Blog is ringside with live updates through to the final on Sunday. So far the limelight has been hogged by Team Pro George Danzer who won the High Roller event to kick things off, and then bagged up the Main Event chip lead last night.
