Sunday Million

A win for Finland’s JNETS in the Sunday Million this weekend, which was worth $127,510 after a four-way deal with gortsos, Conor “Earl Hindman” Shelly, and Team Pro Kosei “K. Ichinose” Ichinose from Japan.

As Kristin Bihr reported for the Blog, there was an added layer of tension in the closing stages, not just by events at the table, but because one finalist’s wireless keyboard was running out of battery power fast. Did it make a difference? Click here to find out. Meanwhile check out the full result below.

APPT Melbourne

Action from the real world came from Melbourne, Australia, where the Asia Pacific Poker Tour was in full swing with a main event field of 523 players.

At the time of writing Day 3 has just ended, leaving just eight players to return on Monday to play down to a champion. A full round up of the day’s action can be found on the Blog, where you can also find details of exactly who will be coming back, and with what.

EPT Malta

This week however is the turn of Malta to shine in the poker limelight as the European Poker Tour gets underway with the €10K single re-entry event tomorrow evening. It’s the third time the tour has landed on the island, with past winners including Jean Montury and Niall Farrell.

The PokerStars Blog will be in position to bring live updates from the start of play tomorrow, through the end of the Main Event a week on Saturday. That’s 11 days of action that will include the EPT Live team from this Sunday onwards.

It’s the penultimate EPT event before it transforms itself into the PokerStars Championship, and has proven itself a popular way to extend the summer, with the IPT Main Event attracting hundreds of players from across the Mediterranean. Find out more about the festival on the EPT homepage.

Be sure to come say hello if you’re in Malta these next two weeks. In the meantime that wraps up another weekend of results and news on PokerStars. As always send your questions and comments to us on Twitter: @PokerStarsBlog.
